The Story
Jesus and Dannia come from different backgrounds, Jesus graduated with a Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management and a Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Waukesha Technical Collage, he worked as Sous Chef at Merrill Hills Country Club in Wales, WI and was the Owner/chef of “Majestic” a Restaurant that offered a Fusion of Cuban and Venezuelan food in Brandon FL for 4 years. Jesus Was born in Venezuela and raised in Mami with a long history of entrepreneurs and restauranteurs in his family, his passion for food and service to others is imbedded in him. A good samaritan making Donuts! ! Dannia carries an Architectural Degree from University Jose Maria Vargas in Caracas Venezuela and graduated from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Masters in Architecture. Dannia is of Italian decedent and was raised surrounded by a strong influence in culinary delight. Food is almost everything in life.... so she married a Chef!! She worked as an architectural designer for Shepherd Partnership LLC in Wisconsin and Tampa for 4 years and then moved to Atlanta to become part of the architectural firm REES Associates in 2006, working in hospital and assisting living design.! In 2010 with the recession, last hit, REES Associates closed office in Atlanta and Dannia and Jesus decided to go into the Donut Business. Jesus as his project and Dannia as a support and work force to grow the business until Architecture world was available again. Quickly, Dough in The Box Donuts became for both a passion and the quality, variety of the donuts grew as the same time as the customers awareness of the presence of this small Mom and Pop Shop Donuts.! Jesus and Dannia were able to create effective systems and procedures to transform a successful, recession proof business, into a project of expansion! Dough in The Box Donuts opened its second location in 2018, and it's third location in September 2020.This third location is designed to act as a store and manufacture center, with Production area in the back.

As Dough in The Box started as a small family venture, we want to grow through having other families grow with us in opening future Dough in The Box Donut Franchise Shops. The last three years Dough in The Box, has concentrated in developing the franchise model for expansion with the idea to create those special partnerships with our franchisee’s to expand the brand. Our manufacturing building is designed to be able to produce and support a total of 14 Franchise stores that will be developed in the following 3 years. We are a company that has developed a production and sale model for fresh donuts and breakfast goods. In the last two years the company has grown in sales and has maintained a payroll of 35 employees. These last two years have been “COVID” years and we have expanded. We serve the community in their catering needs including companies like our neighborhood Churches, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, Georgia Public Schools systems, Atlanta Police among others. Old style, nostalgic type of Customer service is brought back into neighborhoods through the concept of Dough in The Box Donuts as it becomes “your” Neighborhood Bakery.!
